Eira can be found on the Island, presumably waiting for someone. She's in a chicken coop, yelling at them. The phrase 'fox in the henhouse' somehow comes to mind as you look at her and what she's... doing?

"You stupid feather brained morons! You'll never be dinosaurs again, you hear me?! I may have been no-clipped outta reality for years, but I am BACK and I am here to ENSURE that you will never be what you have the potential to be!"

She snaps her teeth at them, too sharp, and... yeah, those are fox ears and tails she's sporting too.

*well, you feel SOMEONE take a hold of one of those ears while you're distracted by yelling at chickens (who probably aren't even acknowledging you, they're chickens) and pulls at it*

Where in the world have you been?

*oh that's not a happy tone or a relieved tone*

She lets out a small shriek as she pulled, trying to retract her ears and tail to no avail.

"WHAT

Wait. Bright!"

She attempts to wriggle the ear pulling into hugging you.

"I'd say you wouldn't believe it if I told you, but you will absolutely believe this. Long story short I was never meant to exist at all and something poking at my existence that made me all femme-looking made me start to destabilize and I spent a subjective literal eternity on the cusp of non-existence, but it was a few years for you guys. And then my now twin pulled me from that state and tied me to her own weird existence, so I think I'm super stable now.

... I missed you, even though I've gotta repeat all three years over."

*oh geeze. she did NOT expect you to hug her. ... ... pets your head instead.*

Well, it skips me saying "you missed so many classes that you might as well restart from square one", you know.

But yes, I believe you, entirely. Actually sounds totally right for some reason? *the quirks of being cursed.*

... Are you at war with the chickens, honey.

::Peaking into the chicken farm, squinting, dressed how she would look if she hadn't attached to trashy 80s stripper vibes.::

She looks... slightly delighted at being chided a little?

"Yeah, I made my peace with that. At least it'll be super easy?

And, uh. Yeah, I knew you'd believe me. And, uh. Gonna sound a bit cheesy, but... um... I didn't forget the promise I made. It was one of the things that kept me from fading completely."

Oh god are they... blushing a little?

"With all birds, auntie."

She takes a slightly more dignified position.

"I estimate that my disappearing act means we'll see dinosaurs back on earth within a year, and I alone could have delayed it by a decade. Maybe convinced others of the impending dangers, maybe prevented it entirely. Alas."

... There are Dinosaurs in the 12 Dimensions... Hrm...

::Ponders.::

*well, you are still hugging me. maybe not unusual!*

I'm happy you didn't, since it feels like sometimes, people forget I'm here at all. Nothing's really changed during the whole time you've been missing, you know.

"Yeah... And they'll be here soon, won't they? I tried to warn everyone..."

She shakes her head.

"My one person war on dinosaurs and birds aside, what's up auntie? Last time you came to talk to me outside of family time it was for ominous foreshadowing of me being my parent's paradox kid, and uh. Yeah, good call. I think being armed with that knowledge actually saved my life/existence."

"I know that. And I didn't want you to be forgotten and I couldn't be forgotten as the person who remembered you..."

She takes a deep breath and finally breaks the hug.

"But due to me getting wrecked and my new super weird paradox existence... I have a plan, if you'd hear me out on it and agree to it?"

*oh, good. she straightens out her uniform, adjusting her glasses*

You actually-- you have a plan? Really?

As long as the Worst Case Scenario doesn't emerge, we should be fine.

I got married again last year. Mostly been stepping back and taking care of Kamala and Sumiho. Considering having a kid with my new wife...

::Pauses.::

Do you want any candy.

She nods.

"Yeah. I promised I'd figure something out, didn't I? I take that real seriously. We're standing ontop of a prison for a creature that was responsible for destabilizing me and a host of other people by creating 'alternate' existences that merge with people.

You're a special case though. If I can figure out how it did that and do it myself, or bully it into doing it for me, I think I can control the merging process once I figure out the mechanics behind it, and make you into a version gof you that never got cursed?"

Would that even be possible at all? What if I'm just... cursed throughout existence?

"Yeah, I think we've got a good handle on all of this, auntie. At least I do." She grins. "Helen's agreed to sit out of actually doing anything for a few months, so hopefully that'll help."

A tilt of her head.

"Yeah, I'd love a chocolate bar, with almonds, if possible. I've got a day ahead of me. You know what I'm here to do, yeah?"

"Then I take this is as a lesson and I work on another solution! I have another plan after that, and another one after that! I'm nothing but endless schemes and cons, so I might as well put that to good use where I can.

This one has a good chance of being it, though. I wouldn't tell ya about it if I wasn't confident in it."

*sighs a bit, crossing her arms*

Well, it's not like anything's managed to change, so far. So honestly-- what do I have to lose, at this point? It feels like unless I remind people that I'm here, I end up being forgotten, so what's risking a mess with "alternates" in the face of that?

"Yeah, and the only person who's been able to manage to remember is also a glitch in the system, so I feel like... well, it may be a function of your curse?

... thanks for giving me the go ahead. I really wanted your permission before I took a crack at this."

If you had said "well good, because I already did it", I'd have given you enough extra work to make up for your middle school years, as well.

"I... have not a single doubt in my body about the veracity of that. But... as soon as I break this thing out and get what I need, I'll immediately contact you.

And. I promise that all of my inevitable misadventures this upcoming term won't interfere with my grades."

::Pulls out a chocolate-almond bar from her lab coat, handing it over to her niece.::

And yes. You're potentially going to need to build up speed for 48 hours to do a Backwards Long Jump to leap between parallel realities, as I made that entire structure down there a death trap.

Or just get really good at timed jumps and sliding.

It better not. Temporal glitches and problems with existence might be an excuse, but it's not one that works with me in the end.

... and try to not cause too much trouble around the school, in general.

She snags it and begins munching on it.

"Thanks!

... yeah, I was worried about all of that. I think if I recall fading out of reality and vibrate fast enough I could do the former. The latter, uh, maybe if I could figure out how to get back into my first body, but that'd be more effort than the vibrating... or maybe the fox is fast enough? Whatever, the point is that this body isn't gonna cut it until it's sixteen or so.

Honestly I'm gonna give it a few shots to get my head in the game, then probably wait for Haita, since Gina's sending him my way 'cause he wants to get down there too."

"It's not an excuse enough to be able to skimp out on my second go-round of high school, I know, I know. My dad decided to be super responsible out of nowhere and we've had this talk too.

Uhh. School seems... Yeah. I'm hoping not, but we both know where some of my poking around is gonna lead me to the most troublesome area on this whole island."

Speaking of that area, actually, if I remember right where you'd end up trying to sneak back to sometime.

You'll want to speak with Mr. Kanzawa Koyo about that. He and his brother have been doing research at the Abandoned Dorm actively.
